Jellywhip has been around since its debut gig at The Vineyard in 2000. Since then the band has performed over 300 shows in Melbourne, Nationally and Internationally. It has always maintained the highest standard of musicality. Jellywhip comprises of 3 to 6 members, all of whom are full time professional players / teachers of music. All members have on average 20 years in the music industry.

The core of Jellywhip comprises of Shane Reilly (guitar /vocal), Tim Matthew (bass/vocal), and Elvis Aljus (drums / percussion). Additional members are added to expand from a trio. These include: Dan Knight (keyboards / vocal), Roger Bergedanz (drums) and Paul Van Ross (sax / flute).

The main direction of Jellywhip has been to present less commercial interpretations of classic era Soul Funk and Jazz Blues songs. The concept is that the listener may have a sense of familiarity but not of predictability.

Jellywhip now has a large number of songs in its repertoire and is capable of adapting to suit both quite and louder rooms, of being background or main event. We are able to provide a variety of P.A systems to suit.
